Hidden Oaks
Summary: The Partnership is working with Veridian Homes on several aspects
of the Hidden Oaks subdivision planned for development in Middleton. Work relates
to the 10 lower-cost homes that Veridian has agreed to incorporate in the project.

Hidden Oaks is a subdivision to be built by Veridian Homes in Middleton. Though not under obligation to do so, Veridian has agreed to include 10 homes in the development that will be affordable to households with incomes at or below 80% of area median.
Under contract to the City, the Partnership is facilitating the project. For example, focusing on unique characteristics of the Hidden Oaks site, Partnership staff facilitated discussions between Veridian and City planners that helped reduce overall development costs, thus making the lower-cost homes financially feasible.
As the project proceeds, Partnership staff will also work with Veridian to
determine the location of the affordable homes within the development, secure
down payment assistance or other subsidy funds to maximize affordability of
the homes, and identify eligible buyers for the lower-cost homes.
