Capacity Building

Photo of two men shaking handsThe Partnership works with community-based organizations to expand their housing development capacity or improve the effectiveness of their housing rehabilitation and home ownership programs. We can also help nonprofit housing corporations plan for the future by evaluating their project and program management policies, their decision-making structures and processes, or their staffing and financial capabilities.

For an example of our work in capacity building, visit the following page: Home Ownership Counseling Network.

People Power Awards

At the Partnership we also think of capacity building as building the "people power" necessary to put financial and other resources to work in expanding access to affordable housing. Understanding the importance of this people power, we have initiated a monthly People Power Award to honor some of the many individuals who work in the housing arena.

To learn more about the award and the award recipients, visit our People Power Awards pages.
